Important Notes on Preparing for your FAFSA Completion.

  1. Each student and one parent should apply for a FSA ID at Make sure to keep a record of the parent's and student's email addresses, the answers to the security questions, and both FSA IDs in a secure place. You'll need that information to sign the FAFSA.
  2. Complete the 2018-19 FAFSA available at as soon after October 1 as possible as state grant funds do deplete.
  3. Check the FAFSA submission deadlines for each school to which you apply.
  4. You'll need information from your 2016 tax filing.
  5. After Submitting the FAFSA, you'll receive a Student Aid Report which is necessary to check the status of your FAFSA.
