Federal Graduate/Professional PLUS Loan Program

CFI makes Graduate/Professional PLUS Loans (part of North Carolina's Federal Family Education Loan Program) to students enrolled or accepted for enrollment at least half-time in a graduate or professional program of study.

Graduate/Professional PLUS Loans are not based on financial need. To be eligible for the loan, you must not have an "adverse" credit history as defined by federal regulations and must have already applied for your annual loan maximum eligibility under the Federal Stafford Loan program.

When you apply for the Graduate/Professional PLUS Loan, CFI will obtain a credit report. The credit result will be used for final approval of your loan provided both a fully completed promissory note and school certification are received within 90 days. If either the promissory note or school certification are received outside this time frame, CFI will request a new credit report.
