Effective May 10, 2015, the FSA ID, a username and password, replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN and must be used to log into certain US Department of Education websites. There is no charge to set up or use this electronic signature option.
Your FSA ID confirms your identity when you access your financial aid information and electronically signed Federal Student Aid documents. If you do not already have an FSA ID create one by logging into www.fafsa.gov, the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at www.nslds.ed.gov, www.StudentLoans.gov, www.StudentAid.gov or Agreement to Serve (ATS) at www.teach-ats.ed.gov. Click here for a video tutorial on creating an FSA ID.
