| Description |
The North Carolina Millennium Teacher Scholarship Loan Program is a competitive program for worthy and needy North Carolina resident high school seniors who are interested in teaching in North Carolina public schools.

| Eligibility |
Students who are selected for the NC Millennium Teacher Scholarship must: 1) Enroll at one of three campuses: Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University or Winston-Salem State University.
2) Must have a minimum SAT score of 900 and at least a 2.5 weighted grade point average.
3) Students that choose to pursue critical shortage licensure areas, as defined by the UNC Office of the President, will be given priority.
4) Candidates for the NC Millennium Teacher Scholarship Loan Program must have at least $3,000 worth of financial aid need as determined by the campus financial aid office.
Recipients must make satisfactory progress in meeting all requirements of the teacher education program at Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University or Winston-Salem State University.

Students who are selected for the NC Millennium Teacher Scholarship will receive $6,500 per year for four years to be applied toward the cost of attendance. Up to 20 recipients will be selected at each of the three participating campuses.

| Other Information |
Scholarship recipients are required to teach in a North Carolina public school for one year for each year of scholarship assistance they receive. Scholars have seven years from the date of graduation to repay the loan, either through service or cash repayment at 10% interest.
