Information About Education for Current and Former Military Personnel and Their Dependents

Citizens across the state of North Carolina appreciate your commitment, dedication, and service. Whether you are still on active duty in any branch of the Armed Forces, or have served in the past, a variety of education services are available to help you achieve your personal goals. Education benefits extend to your family and dependents, as well.

On CFNC.org, you will find information about North Carolina's colleges and universities and the degrees they offer.  You can also submit an online application to schools you are interested in attending. If you're not sure what degree you're interested in, you can check out our library of careers, including a description of duties and education requirements for each, plus assessments that determine professions that might be a good fit for you based upon your interests and experiences. You can use these tools to help determine what, and where, to study.

The following resources help supplement the tools and content available on CFNC.org. You can see what the Department of Veterans Affairs has to offer, research the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act, often called the Post-9/11 GI Bill, learn about military education programs available at community colleges and the schools of the UNC system, plus find other useful information. You can also submit your military transcript.
